Below are links which point to different content, some of which is on the site, some of which are links to other sites.  As you will quickly notice, the topics are not necessarily related to each other.  More general topics are listed at the top, specific topics towards the bottom.  As time goes by, they may be updated with additional information.

Prescription Glasses Online
for under $30

I was looking for glasses locally, and found that it was going to cost at least $100-200 for a basic pair at a local store.  I took my searching to the web and found quite a few retailers who offer prescription glasses in the $20-40 range.  I posted my findings, complete with comparisons, and have reviewed the glasses I've purchased online. It's all up on the website, known as EyeglassRetailerReviews.com

Web Hosting
windows-based for under $5/month

If you've ever looked for web hosting, you know there are usually 2 types of servers - Windows and Linux based.  Linux is often cheaper, partly because it's so popular, and partly because it's usually cheaper for the host to run.  So what do you do if you want to host your site on a Windows based server but don't want to plunk down a lot of money?  Well here are a few hosts that offer hosting for under $5/month.  Perfect for a simple personal or small business site.

Seat Covers
and winterfronts, custom cut

Two problems with your typical Wal-mart or Canadian Tire seat covers: Availability and Quality.  Availability because it would take too much store space to carry covers for every single make and model vehicle on the road today.  So they often only stock covers for the more popular vehicles.  To keep competitive price-wise, they usually carry covers made of lower-quality fabric.  The solution?  RTG Enterprises specializes in custom cut seat covers for cars and trucks.  They also make winterfronts, tire covers, and tank covers.  Check out their website for more information.

Disabling DRL's
in a Sprint, Swift, Firefly, or Metro

Racing at the track?  Daytime Running Lights usually aren't mandatory there, and disabling them can give a slight performance boost (you want every bit of help, right?).  Or maybe your vehicle has DRL's but they're not required by law where you live.  Disabling them in these small cars can help ease the load on your alternator, increasing fuel economy and giving a small boost to power. Instructions with pictures are given here.

Maps are of course 100% free, and there is no registration required.  Just find your map and download, it's that easy!

Piano Tuning
how to tune your own piano

Getting a piano professionally tuned can be costly. Especially in the cases of those where a piano is more of a casual instrument to play from time to time, or where it's banged on by the kids more often than it's played, this extra cost isn't always an option.  So can you tune a piano yourself?  You bet you can. Here's how...

Make a Card
Create your own card at Envicards.com

If you're looking to create your own card online, Envicards has a variety of professional, high quality cards that you can modify, and allows you to build one from scratch (for those talented enough to do so). It can be sent to others through e-mail, or via facebook. It's quite the step up from the other online card services out there (which often only allow you to send a blurb of text along with the pre-exising cards), and if you've found that most online offerings aren't very good at letting you express yourself, Envicards.com is certainly worth checking out. Cost currently seems to be about a dollar. Note that if you have an interest in selling your design, they'll also allow you to place the card you make in their online store and share in the revenue.
